Professional Qualifications and Business Philosophy

When you need an on-air guest, speaker, trainer or seminar provider, who can deliver exciting, powerful, entertaining and informative programs, Steve Eggleston is the one to call. Whether you need a half hour keynote address, or a day or more of innovative presentations, he delivers.

Many technology consultants, though brilliant in their fields, have the personal skills of a pit viper. Eggleston's varied background in engineering, marketing, communications and art contributes to his success as a "people person." No dry, techno-babble filled excuses, just solid information, presented in an understandable and entertaining format.

Steve entered the consulting business to provide the business community with a better, more human quality of technology and training services. His consulting group, Nuance Data Systems, one of the nation's first Virtual Corporations, adheres to principles of absolute competence and ethics. He has based his business on the belief that the client needs both an authority and a trusted advocate. He has succeeded in building that reputation.

Eggleston developed innovative and elegant solutions to many of the complex problems facing the typical computerist and would-be computer user. He has a firm commitment to the sanity of the end user. This commitment, coupled with an uncommon understanding of the complexities of everyday technology led to his reputation as advocate, teacher, mentor and problem solver. This is also the basis for his motto:

"Technology Should Set You Free, Not Make You Crazy"

Acknowledged as a national authority on the Internet, end user computing, presentations and human interaction, he helps return the human element to an often intimidating and mechanistic endeavor.

His prophetic insights into the future of technology and his industry predictions are well respected among his peers and clients alike.

Why You Need Him A Unique Consultant

About Our Training Programs & Seminars

In our rapidly changing environment, keeping abreast of technology is more than a challenge, it is a necessity. As the pool of qualified labor continues to shrink, maximum effective use of resources is imperative. Businesses can no longer afford the luxury of haphazard, catch-as-catch-can, on the job training or ineffective, text book only education in technical areas. One of the most effective ways to combat this information vacuum, is with a customized training program from Steve Eggleston and the Eggleston Group's team of respected industry professionals.

Real World Approach (We Know What We Teach)

One of our primary commitments is to keep our sights on the way that the real world works. Too many schools, computer stores and "seminar factories'' have no idea what life is like in a busy production environment. Our trainers are "from the trenches'' and know how to avoid the irrelevant. We take the time to learn and understand your industry, business and unique needs. We provide hard hitting, results-oriented programs that will benefit YOU.

We Teach What You Need

We deliver custom and general programs in general technology, the Internet, personal computing, modern office technology and procedures, business graphics and presentations, telecommunications, marketing, and computer illustration.

Our seminars and training programs are customized for your company's needs. My staff and I research your industry, conduct discreet interviews and evaluate the type of training needed before we assemble an approach. Our general technology classes are conducted in an informal, relaxed manner, and are designed to maximize subject retention and excite the curiosity of the participants. Ample time is always allowed for individual questions, and post-training follow up is the rule rather than the exception.

You Can't Do That In A Few Hours!

How can we hope to bring an audience of technical novices into the "New Information Age'' in only a few hours or even days? -- Through a revolutionary approach to teaching......cut through the bull, techno-babble, ego trips and the irrelevant.

Our seminars and training programs range in duration from four hours to five days, determined by your specific needs. Each provides a high intensity learning environment, in which the attendees become involved. Complex issues are dissected into easily grasped basic concepts. Comments such as "I had no idea that this was so simple," and "I'll call you refrigerator, you open your mouth, and the light comes on," are not uncommon.

The Eggleston Group/Nuance Data Systems - President and CEO

For fifteen years, the Eggleston Group of Creative Consultants/Nuance Data Systems provided 'holistic technology' services, introducing new technologies and systems into companies suffering from 'technology shock.' Commitments to absolute ethics, the customer and our philosophy, 'Technology Should Set You Free -- Not Make You Crazy' created our reputation as mentors, consultants and sincere partners in our customers success.

National Seminars, Inc. - Public Speaker, Seminar Delivery, Workshop Leader

As a speaker and workshop leader for the continuing education division of Rockhurst University, Eggleston has "turned on the lights," helping thousands of people cut through the techno-babble and acronyms surrounding the Internet and related technologies. His programs have been described as informative and exciting, and never boring.

VideoLinx Communications - Applications Engineer, Networking Consultant

VideoLinx Communications designs, installs and leases video conference, wide area networking and distance education resources for national and international clients. As consultant to this dynamic and growing company, Eggleston has helped them produce live educational satellite broadcasts from The Congo to secondary schools across the nation and implement remote warfare simulations for the U.S. Army, combining live and stored video across secure military satellite connections.

Alleged and Speculative Experience

Throughout his career in private enterprise, it was rumored that he was trained and retained by a disputed number of three and four-letter agencies.

He will neither confirm nor deny these allegations. You, however, may be the judge when you evaluate the results of his engagement and his insights into government operations and the intelligence community in general.

Eggleston is an active member of the Association for Intelligence Officers.

ImageMatrix, Inc. - Imaging Lab Manager

His unique blend of talent in both artistic and technical fields lent strength to his position as photo/A-V manager. The varied responsibilities of this position included both traditional and computer generated artwork, presentations and animations.

The Forte Group, Inc. - Technology Director

At The Forte Group, Eggleston acted as Technology Advisor to The President of a leading company in the Computer Graphics, Graphic Design, Advertising and Visual Communications Fields. Duties included top level and client technology briefings, new technology evaluation, systems analysis and programming, market analysis and customer relations.

Camera Graphics, Inc. - Color Laboratory Manager

As manager of the color division of this full service custom photo laboratory, he developed one of the first photo lab automation applications for personal computers. LAB-TRAK helped even inexperienced technicians manage the many complex variables of a variety of photographic processes. The result was a dramatic increase in process quality, requiring far less time and skill to maintain. When a Genigraphics system was installed in 1979 he quickly mastered the imaging computers and began developing innovative utilities and management tools for the system.

V.V.K.R., Inc. - Director, Graphics and Photography

VVKR was one of the premier architectural & engineering firms in the nation. As part of a crack marketing and graphics team, he developed proposals, print, slide and multi-media presentations. From concept to production, his leadership and creativity, coupled with a superb support staff resulted in an extremely high "hit rate'' for their proposals. His innovative use of computer graphics in 1978 helped establish VVKR as a leader in the architectural presentations field.

United Press International - Spot News and Feature Photographer

As a News and Feature Photographer for UPI/UPI-Compix, he had the opportunity to be assigned to the White House during the historic Watergate incident. His many UPI and freelance assignments led him around the world numerous times. He became comfortable working closely with people in all walks of life, from politicians and world leaders to Third World poor and disaster victims. His communications skills were honed early in his career -- in the trenches -- in the real world.

Other Experience and Qualifications - Since 1966

He has worked in all phases of the printing and graphics industries, in both production and management roles. His hands-on management and production experience in printing, studio, location and specialty photography provide him an uncommon insight into the inner workings of publishing, pre-press and production.

Many of his speaking skills were honed during a stint as a radio announcer and country music DJ (Where he picked up his nickname, The Eggman).

As a Certified Digital Imaging Specialist and an authorized field service technician for a major computer graphics system manufacturer, his electronics and engineering skills were applied to today's digital imaging technology.

Eggleston is an ARPANET Veteran, and has been an Internet Innovator since before the Internet was the Internet. (Even before Al Gore invented it)
